Lanxin Empowers Ruida Packaging to Build a 5G Smart Factory
Project Overview
By deploying AMRs to connect key production areas—including raw material warehouse, printing, AS/RS, lamination, curing, slitting, packing, and finished goods warehouse—the project enables fully automated inbound/outbound logistics, semi-finished material transfer, and automated loading and unloading of film rolls.
This end-to-end automation and digitalization supports Rida Packaging in building Jiangsu Province’s first 5G-enabled smart factory in the packaging industry.
Solution
- Unified Robot Scheduling: Lanxin’s self-developed robot scheduling system enables synchronized control of heterogeneous robots and automation equipment through protocol adaptation at the upstream level. Elevators, lifts, stacker cranes, conveyor lines, and automatic doors operate in full coordination. The system supports scheduling of up to 1,500 robots simultaneously, ensuring true equipment collaboration.
- High-Precision Docking: By integrating Laser SLAM with 2D/3D vision-assisted positioning, robot trajectories are continuously corrected in real time. Docking accuracy with film racks, pallets, and lifting mechanisms is controlled within ±5 mm, achieving a zero docking failure rate.
- Comprehensive Safety Assurance: Equipped with Lanx’s proprietary 3D vision sensors and multi-layer safety architecture, the system provides 360-degree environmental perception. Semantic-level obstacle avoidance enables rapid identification of workers and equipment, applying differentiated avoidance strategies to ensure safe and reliable operation.
